Let me ask you something.
If a person came to you and said — I will go through something incredibly painful so that your life can be saved. Not just yours. Your family. Your closest friends. All of them. And all I ask in return is that you love me, stay loyal to me, and treat others the way I’ve treated you.
Would you take that deal?
Most people would say yes without hesitating.
Now what if the offer was even bigger than that — not just saving your life for another few decades, but giving you eternal life. You and the people you love, together forever in a place with no suffering, no loss, no death. And on top of that, everything you’ve ever done wrong — every mistake, every failure, every thing you’re ashamed of — completely pardoned. Gone.
Same terms. Just love them back. Stay loyal. Love others the way they loved you.
That’s not a hypothetical. That already happened.
The offer has already been made
John 3:16 (NLT)
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
God didn’t offer a partial fix. He offered everything — at the cost of His own Son — so that you wouldn’t have to pay for your own mistakes forever.
What He asks in return
The terms are not complicated.
John 14:15 (NLT)
If you love me, obey my commandments.
That’s it. Love Him. Show it through how you live. And pass that love along to the people around you. No one is asking for perfection — just loyalty to the one who already paid everything for you.
The alternative
Trying to handle it on your own means carrying the full weight of everything you’ve ever done. Nobody gets through that clean. The honest reality is that without what Jesus did, the debt stays yours.
Romans 6:23 (NLT)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
A wage is something you earn. A gift is something you receive. You can’t earn your way out of this one — but you don’t have to.
No one else can make you this offer
Not a philosophy. Not a self-improvement plan. Not another religion. Nobody else has already paid the price and is simply waiting for you to accept it.
The deal is on the table. The cost to Him was everything. The cost to you is your pride — letting go of the idea that you can do it yourself — and simply receiving what’s already been offered.
What’s it worth to you?
Revelation 21:4 (NLT)
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
That’s what’s waiting. That’s what He paid for.
All He’s asking is that you love Him back.
